Amazing ethno / worldly avantgarde LP from shockingly overlooked US group Other Music. Following their killer and also highly recommended 1980 debut LP Prime Numbers, Incidents Out Of Context is a collection of rich, otherworldly tuning experiments that sound intriguing and unusual to the western ear tempered against soft, primitive percussion. Its a heady (and ambitious) mix of balinese gamelan, Indian strings and typically US-jazz saxophone executed with finesse in a way in which each element is more than the sum of its parts. Really interesting LP! (NM/VG+).
