Essential early Jan Jelinek EP under his saintly Farben alias with the Stuck EP. Like few others, Jan's ability to craft warm, textual emotive music from a fully reduced, distilled palette continues to baffle to this day, and this one now 20 years old (!!) is up there with the seminal Loop Finding Jazz OR his often overlooked Gramm LP. So yeah got a lot of time for Jan. First up 'Stuck' buries a subtle pulse under a barrage of glitches, quirks and scratches with this eerie, foreboding feel followed by the grooooovier 'Alpin (formatted)', which shows Jan sashaying between moods whilst keeping it all together. Flipside 'Aufschlag/Abschlag' is more a less your rudimentary glitch roller BUT its all worth for the jewel in the crown 'Oh Love, Well We Finally Made It' a surging late-night piece of sentimental ambience that always hits the spot.
