Self-titled debut EP from Jan Jelinek via his more club-leaning (ish) Farben alias on this Klang Elektronik '98 EP. Coming just three years before Jan's seminal Loop Finding Jazz project, it's easy to see the roots here starting to take hold, with those creeping velvet noir melodies rubbing up against micro-tuned percussion and plump bass lines. After a batch of smoozying, glitchy electro-jazZzZ, 'Type Inventory' finds itself in that sweet-spot between downtempo / hip-hop with crisp drum programming and chubby, water-bed dub chords.
