"September 2025: Duncan Harrison (Brighton, UK) and Pat Klassen aka 'Barn Sour' (Winnipeg, CAN) simultaneously visit Amsterdam and Brussels (EUR). Across two live appearances, they undertake a solo performance each as well as a collaborative effort. What ultimately emerges is a well meaning but wretched exercise in audiovisual self-sabotage: drink soaked sound collage, sub-actionist rough housing, aestheticised psychic injury. Recorded evidence sits unlistened to out of fear/embarrassment until Summer 2026 where it is hastily reassembled into 'Vegan Horse Meat'. Less 'live album' or 'audio dokument' than it is a haphazard recollection of events half remembered and of dubious credibility.

Canadian artist Pat Klassen has been known by many aliases over the years, but Barn Sour is the one he anxiously keeps returning to—much like a horse, as the name suggests, bound to the confines of its own stable—evoking resistance, agitation, and even dangerous actions like rearing or spinning. All notions that feel familiar when listening to Pat’s sound collages, which create a sense of unease while walking the borderline between the crazed and the beautiful."
