More than anything, music has always been our preferred conduit between the past and present. Just like looking at an old family photo album, it can project you back in time, putting you in a place if only for an instant. This new mixtape captures that feeling with a worldly view. Blurring languages, decades, styles and sounds in a unique way that really only they can. Wistful Gaelic folk gives way to Indonesian oldies before sliding into low-lit 50’s parlour jazz. Poetic South American protest song melts away for softly sung nighttime folk.
