Unusual late 60's pop courtesy of Yao Su Yong from the glorious Island nation of Taiwan. Despite the happy-go-lucky feel of Yong's upbeat Mandarin vocals, the LP carries a political weight as the majority of her catalogue was heavily regulated by the government and after performing one of her unauthorised tracks live in Taipei to hoards of fans egging her on, actually had her singing licence revoked. Subsequently Yong moved to Hong Kong and probably had a much more successful because of it, although one must wonder if she'll ever return to her homeland for the comeback concert of a generation...
