Three fresh pieces of mollifying levitational tone-float from Tanz Mein Herz /Omertà member and master of the double-necked guitar Pierre Bujeau aka MEGABASSE.
Last year Pierre blessed our in-house label with Chandelle - a deeply plaintive expanse of repeating string figures that could easily have gone on forever. It’s the sort of music that continues to feel like the occasional indispensable antidote to the increasing global fuckery of modern times, if only for the duration of a C90 tape.
Well, you can never have too much a good thing. Here find three freshly recorded pieces published on the excellent Efficient Space label. Each unique in their pacing, duration and tonal glow. The shimmering A-side almost finds a similar zone to Laraaji’s ethereal gem ‘Being Here’. In the sense that there’s no obvious start or end to the iridescent overtones that get to work lowing the heart-rate from the start. The B-side feels slightly more detuned, introspective and mechanical in its pensive, daydreaming delivery. But words really fail to capture music so effortlessly transportive and otherworldly.
