Impossibly beautiful, one inna million folk masterpiece from Loren Connors and Kath Bloom - dead-stock find of the millennium???
If someone had said that one day a box of unplayed copies of Connor / Bloom’s Sing The Children Over would arrive sudden arrive, neatly packaged, I’d have said.. get the fuck out here, or something to that effect. But records have a funny way of surprising you like that and it’s often the ones you don’t expect. It’s too good a story to not pass on - our friends over in New York, Ergot Records, whom we have to thank for this one, apparently learned of the existence of these after randomly chatting to a customer in his store.Apparently a few legal complications and blows to moral led the owner of Ambiguous Records to stash these away in a cupboard in their house - on an island called VINALHAVEN - forgetting about them and chalking the whole experience down as misadventure.Alas, here we are 40+ years later with copies of the most tender, captivating and emotionally vulnerable recordings in our hands and ready to mainline straight into the heart. We first heard on DJ Sundae’s tabi tape and have been in love ever since. Now or never!!! (Mint / new - OG copies - STRICTLY 1 per person).
