Time Is Away close the circle on their much-loved mixtape trilogy, conceived and inspired by their immediate surroundings during time spent on residency at La Becque on Lac Léman in Switzerland.

‘It is a broad, white silence, edged with green, airy silence; it is lake and surrounding forest; it is sweet blue warm silence and morning. The sun shines down from the sky onto the lake which becomes completely like a sun with the sleepy shadows of the life all around it quietly rocking back and forth. There is nothing to disturb the scene, everything is lovely in the sharpest closeness, in the haziest distance. I cannot find the words for it, although I have put forth far too many words already, it seems to me. I look forward to spending an evening or night here at this very place, and I go over and over in my mind what it will be like on this little lake when the last light of day hovers over its surface, or how I will be when the countless stars hover overhead —and I swim out again.—'

Lake is an ode to arguably the most breathtaking and immediate geological feature of their Swiss surroundings.  The serene western-banks of Lake Geneva being a place for recreation, relaxation and also reflection.  This final instalment in keeping with the series’ aesthetic is a hazy and hypnagogic collection of assorted sound fragments, localised field recordings and segments of their noteworthy record collection, all seamlessly tangled with each element discreetly segueing into the next.  Sounds are stretched and left in to brew, fluttering of muted piano notes, gently hovering electronics, distant murmurings and the discreet sloshing of water gently lapping the banks.  Fleeting moments and the pensive appreciation of a summer well spent, as the golden hour sunlight hits the water for one last time.  (Mint / New - with free DL).
