Second single from sometime Wire collaborator A.C Marias, a precursory release (produced by Bruce Gilbert) coming just before the incredible 'Some Of Our Girls (Have Gone Missing)' LP also released via Mute. A-sider 'Time Was' is a brilliant pairing of screeching guitar shimmer and soft vocals, although it's the B-side here 'Some Thing' that doesn't feature on the album - a dreamy, slow-burning piece of ethereal atmospherics. Perfection. Still very obtainable!... (NM/NM).
