One of the most historical releases to emerge from the psychedelic cult-rock scene, here with the debut, self-released LP from the California commune The Source Family led by Jim Baker as Ya Ho Wha 13.  Like some of the best musical releases of our time, it would seem that Ya Ho Wa 13's recording process entailed consuming hi-quantities of strong California sunshine acid and going into the garage un-rehearsed for a FREAK-OUT.  The results are predictably amazing, grounded by by that huge primordial drum and the mad whaling of the uber-charismatic Baker.  They manage to effortlessly traverse between intense, shamanic passages and more restrained moment with this glistening, kaleidoscopic guitar-work.  OG more or less impossible to obtain, its seriously good this one.  (Euro bootleg (whoops) / Sleeve still in shrink / vinyl NM).
