London’s Going Good nosedive into the archives of one of the most consistently interesting and singular producers of the last 10+ years with this compilation of the SUED co-founder and TASE member. It’s comprised of skeletal sketches and stoned, unhurried drum vignitettes that make up his signature sound - smudged, stuttering, tempo-fluid workouts representing a unique fusion of man and machine although it’s never quite clear who is in control. Each of the workouts threaten to unravel at any minute, echoing the red-eyed insomnia and assumed mental state rendered thru the endless, days-long jams at the fabled Neues Deutschland studio, although it’s the fuzzy warmth in these recordings that beg for the record to be continually flipped. A LOT of love for this stuff..
