Obscure early 7" from Belgian new-wave outfit Polyphonic Size with their homage to Japan, 'Nagasaki Mon Amour'. A-side title cut more, bleepy with french vox, bordering on anthemic (a first in minimal wave?). But the B-side (for moi) is where it's at, 'Kyoto (Version), an uber-playful, stripped bare, hissy 4/4 cut with dubbed-out Japanese vox and shamefully orientalised melody. Perfect.
