Oddball industrial / ambient full-length from West-Coast act Poison Gas Research.. thankfully abbreviated here to P.G.R, birthed by respected French imprint Permis De Construire - a label responsible for putting out some screamers from the mid to late 80s. A-side dishes up two ominous, clanging atmospheric pieces constructed via tape manipulation, with the later 'Only Hell Burns Brighter' including distant clarinet, evoking the eerie remains of an underworld proms-band. The mood shifts entirely on the other side however, tracing a dream-like sequence of hand-drums and probing string-bass, enriched with deep atmospherics with distant vocals circling around the subject matter of time..
