Unsettling collage works from great P16.D4.. better works below.. (NM/NM)
Found sound is combined through various processes in this album, to create a separate, divorced sound - Art for Art's sake! Pitch shifted snatches of sound form structured rhythms, intercut with brief blasts of some Thrash band playing live; harsh factory metal noise combines with weak electronic whines and valve noise; thinned out cymbal-work; low floating hums; urgent insect noise; loops of babies attempting conversation; low sinister piano ponders; LOU REED - like voice penetrates the fragmented Industrial miasma; voices shout insanely; drug-dream-state guitars play like tiny mocking voices heard across the aether from years gone by; sudden waking from a nightmare. A whole collection of noises, constructed together, often in a logical way which suggests rhythm, sometimes in abstract sprawls. If you like Arty, Avant Garde, destructured soundworks, this might be for you. I found it a little too dry, and often too minimal to keep interest over a long period. It also contains probably one of the longest track titles ever.
