Second bout of ancient free-folk sorcery from Dan Johansson and Gustaf Dicksson's (ov Blod) Oroskällan project on the FFFM private press, this time conjuring a somewhat darker, more perturbed and lonelier strain of primitive minimal synth sketches than the more acid-dipped, organic alchemy featured on the debut. A plaintive trip down the woods with simple smudged synth-tones, gentle wind-rustles and the odd primordial tap on the hand-drum, but the Gothenburgers know exactly what they’re summoning. An invocation of the spirits, at times feeling like taking part in some sort of seance but in the most strung-out yet oddly beautiful and privately sentimental way. Screamer.. (NM)
