Highly sought-after 1976 edition of the infamous Morton Feldman score commissioned for the permanent art installation at Rothko's chapel in Houston, Texas. This slowwww, highly-meditative piece of post-modern classical is typical of Feldman's oeuvre, renown for stretching out durations and allowing the listener to explore the space between the notes, making a perfect match for the dramatic minimalism of Rothko's immerse slabs of dense, all-consuming colour. Its one of the deepest listens around, creating this tense, nervous atmosphere that's actually quite intimidating but one that'll continually reveal more on each listen. The other side houses 'For Frank O'Hara' (with Julius Eastman on piano !!) another typical Feldman piece of highly distilled, tense minimalism that leaves the door wide open for you to walk around an explore. Vinyl plays fine but sleeve a little aged (see pic).
