Super sparse 7" on prominent German imprint Ata Tak with Minus Delta T's Mastika / Macho single. Equal parts musicians, ethnographers and conceptual artists the group (founded in 1978) found fame with 'The Bangkok Project' - a living piece of performance art based upon transporting a 5.5 tonne concrete block from Asia to Europe, documenting the performance en-route with field recordings, photography and video whilst staging happenings and cultivating whatever art scene they could along the way. This one pits a mishmash of found sound taken from their journey through Iran, Bulgaria, Turkey, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria, Thailand and more against brittle minimal drum machines for a sorta dizzying, left-field travelogue with vague dance floor potential (?).
