Dome splintering Music Concrète from avant-garde old boy Karl Heinz Stockhausen with a nice little low-key collection put together by the Open University. On the A-side we're treated to a rendition of Stockhausen' renown 'Kontakte' piece which is an eerie, uncomfortably sparse arrangement of erratic percussive spasms and tape manipulation mindfuckery.  B-side splits things up into more manageable percussive chunks, which has the same effect as when my parents would trick me by cutting up my broccoli to increase the chance of me eating it, making the whole thing go down much easier.  But no, the little brain blasts of odd-ball percussion, their subtle tonal nuances and the space within is interesting to explore (AND SAMPLE).  Everyone needs a bit of this in their diet.  (Vinyl & Sleeve VG+).
