Unexpected and overlooked 2LP collaboration between Japanese dub outfit Audio Active and new-age multi-instrumentalist Laraaji for All Saints.  The group's typically fusion orientated approach darts between heavily hip-hop influenced moments to more stoned downtempo / trip-hop feels, with obvious nods from Adrian Sherwood's production (who also worked with them on the On-U Sound label), whilst Laraaji's heavenly zither shimmers in the background or infectious laugher bubbles underneath.  Certainly there's moments that veer way off track, but others more than make up for it, like the atmospheric downbeat of 'Laraajingle' or the dubbed-out 'Hither And Zither' rework of Laraaji's eternal nirvana-achieving classic 'Being Here' from the 92 'Flow Goes The Universe' CD, here masterfully reworked into mellow, mechanical and washed-out drums with glistens of over-tonal bliss. (NM/NM).
