TTT debut yet another little known producer from the Tokyo underbelly with Waon-P, who rustles up four prime cuts of supremely sure footed minimalistic club missiles with intent. Opener 'BRF' locks in an agitated shuffle amongst stark digital chord stabs that feel right outa Beatrice Dillon's fwd playbook, whilst 'Give Thanks' sets off in a drift in outer-space, with swirling kaleidoscopic synth notes recalling classic NWAQ or even label-mate DJ Trystero. Over on the B, ‘Lisson’ builds over tight, military-drilled percussion in a sorta Livity style mould whilst closer ‘Marcit’ meanders off again into its own world with a barely there, knackered percussive base and big wide-screen synth pad. Probs not doing it justice here as the clock’s a ticking but trust, this is very heavy. (Mint / New).
