Woahh there.. booze-blotted live jams scraped off the floor of a Madrid dive bar published by Spanish micro-label F.T.C.N. Ediciones.

Jumbled together through a series of informal jams, FORTUNA combines personel from both Mexico (Jero, Lucas) and Spain (Juan and Pablo Miron of Miradasvacas / Ediciones Fontenebro fame).  All chewed up, spat out of a janky live rig and roughly captured for our listening pleasure, this molten four piece combine the very best death-scorched bluez, nagging tick-tock drum machine and drunken trumpet into a raw combination that’s quite frankly searing our small minds.  It’s all loose, bleary eyed and free, criss-crossing through a range of tempos, but at it’s best when the spluttering rhythm box is left it’s own devices and the group can get to work free riffin’ at will.  There’s a track on there that’s evocative of a speed-dabbing juggxrnaught Monokultur track from a few years back, but muscled up and swaggering extra hard, whereas the slower moments (last track) melt down into seared red-room noir.  Truly fantastic localised psychedelic music born out of the everyday, recalling the same cough ’n splutter magic of Michael Morley’s Wreck Small Speakers On Expensive Stereos, the above mentioned Monokultur, et al..Real scorcher, edition of not many.  (Mint / New - with free DL)
