Boom..!!  Respected London mix series / party Left Alone puts on a real spread with this new cassette compilation, surveying the contemporary UK underground and shaking down some of their nearest and dearest for the goods.  It’s a tantalising mix of familiar and unknown names, with the opening airy piano flutters of from here on it’s all setting the subdued mood and teeing up Malvern Brume’s creeping, bedsit-paranoia laced dub trudge on ‘Broken Bow Tine’ whilst his 2nd offering ‘Tarmac Shakes Into New Shapes’ taps into that brooding, late-night-becoming-early-morning intimacy with an unmistakable Lambkin feel - woiii.  Lathe Burin is the only other artist who serves up two tracks, both instrumental, hovering around what sounds like stretched tape loops and recalling the bits in between on all the best Brannten Schnüre records, whilst Great Area’s po-faced, Del Forno-esque cold pop hit ‘Over Again’ drags us out of the muck and is assured to stick in yer head for weeks.  Keepin the club kids happy, the comp morphs into the witching hour with Polido’s bludgeoning ‘Live At Damas’ take before Max Scholpp goes full conquering lion with the new roots roll out on ‘420 Hansa Malz’.  Shop fav Gamba (ANA) comes in typically dread-stricken with his razor-sharp breaks spliceage on Country whilst Conrad Pack leaves us prepped, primed and dark-room ready on ‘Putting Down The Dog’.  I've definitely missed bits but in all - a stylistically divergent yet somehow cohesive snapshot of something genuinely exciting and (from this Northern vantage point some 200 miles away) very much fanning the embers of the unrivalled legacy left by Low Company’s sad departure.  Don’t miss!!  Holographic J-card !!! * Free MP3 download on purchase * (Mint / New - Shops pls get in touch for wholesale, but be quick not got loads!)
