The second instalment to the landscape-focused cassette trilogy from Time Is Away undertaken at their artist residency on Lac Léman in Switzerland.

As you walk in the garden you pass into this time - the moment of entering can never be remembered. Around you the landscape lies transfigured.’
Garden works as a meditation on space and sanctuary - a private place for reflection and contemplation, always changing with the seasons. Delicately assembled here through fragments of field recordings collected on location, slithers of original songs and snippets of their private record collection, the duo unspool a collage of sound that tracks day into night. It’s deliberately unhurried, each element melting slowly to give way to the next, allowing us to map out our own private space, making note of each individual detail. The delicate tinkering of piano keys set amongst the ever-present collective hum of inserts. Spring birdsong interacts with subtle strings and tinkering percussion, grinding time to a standstill.
