Seminal 1975 UK free improv from the John Stevens and Trevor Watts led Spontaneous Music Orchestra. Given the pure amount of people playing on this one and the often chaotic results of these over-populated free-improv sessions produce, this one manages to keep it relatively restraint, with subtle tonal detailing atop a tension-laced drone that gradually unravels into this fidgety percussive spasm. There's infinite nuance and sophistication to this stuff that's quite a treat to unravel, with this one a perfect and quite tame entry point into the overwhelming world of UK improv.
