Elusive and mysterious 7” picture disc from cult Japanese trio Pale Cocoon via the Pafe label.Nestled in deep obscurity for the past 40 years, apart from fabled chatter on niche music blogs and more recently reintroduced to wider acclaim by the excellent Conatala and Incidental Music labels back in 2020 with the ‘Mayu’ reissue, Pale Cocoon are undoubtably one of the strangest and most difficult to understand groups to emerge from the 80’s Japanese underground.Distant and out of reach, the A-side sounds like it’s being played in another room, whilst the B-side combines ghostly, vapour-like vocals, tinkering melancholic piano keys and sweeping, glacial synth pads into something haunting yet equally beautiful.Probs only for the hardcore weirdos amongst ya, but in lieu of anything traditionally festive or novelty, this is the best I could do.RARE RARE RARE!!!(NM/NM - clean but plays with noise due to press. With OG sticker!)
