Mind-blowing Hungarian avant-garde beast with multi-instrumentalist Masik Janos's Trance Balance LP. A proper nightmare to pigeonhole this one, it's a real out on its own, uniquely Eastern take on the typical 'art-rock' parameters with a dark, primordial undercurrent. At it's sparsest moments, the repetitive, drugged and DEEP percussion is fully hypnotic and there's odd little sketches and twists and turns in this one that keep you scratching your head. I've fully failed in doing this one any justice, it's powers fully transcend my struggling linguistic abilities but everyone everywhere needs to check this one. One of the best. (Vinyl & Sleeve VG++++).
