Killer 2nd LP from real German odd-balls Härte 10 with their '85 LP Welcome To Germany on the short-lived BAFF imprint. Having a difficult time trying to pigeonhole any of this or even come up with any solid comparisons, as these guys are truly out on their own, which can only be a good thing. But surely, some of the finest lefter-than-leftfield experimental synth-pop I've ever come across. Punchy, highly infectious drum-machines, stick-in-yer-head melodies, characterful German vocals, adventurous synth-work, yup this lot really went for it and, its DANCEY. Whilst rooted dead-centre in the 80's and admittedly a few of these tracks are a little too rich for me, it has aged very nicely and should be held up as a prime example of enthusiastic experimentalism in 'pop' which is seldom seen since.
