Black Sweat Records presents us with the vinyl re-release of the obscure 1980’s self-titled tape from Italian world music trio Futuro Antico. It’s a release that owes as much to the raga-like works of minimalist composer La Monte Young as it does to the new-age ambient stylings of Terry Riley. Distinctly warm and analogue, the pieces blend Indian and African influences and instrumentation with flutes, soft keys and some more visceral synthesised sound. (NM/NM)
