Intensely psychoactive mind-journey deep into the haunted Swedish hinterland - a one off holy grail on the Silence label.
A mysterious duo Anna Själv Tredje only managed to release this one 1977 LP during their time together, although both members have links to Silence-label acts such as Cosmic Overdose and the great Ragnarök.Four individual tracks weave themselves into a cosmic excursion, alternating between dream-laced pastoral passages to shades of mildly terrifying unease. There’s an obvious kinship Klaus Schultz / Ash-ra / Tangerine Dream and the Berlin school sect, but whereas the German’s went intergalactic, the Swedes here keep it earthier and more internally brooding - whispered voices, tripped out overlapped guitars and fuzz-pedalled phasing adding the sense of psychedelic dislocation.Total monster and insanely hard to find, hence the $$$.(NM/VG++ - pristine vinyl, true OG (1st press), sleeve in excellent condition given the age).
