A perfect suite of songs that twist and turn, never ending up where you began. Mimikurige really lets the talents of all these individual artists shine through, when they combine it’s sublime. It’s like the greatest home sing along you’ve never had. Wonderfully detailed yet delicate art-songs rich in imagination, drifting between worlds occasionally unashamedly sentimental, innocent, uplifting, sometimes otherworldly, pensive, yet always highly personal and intimate. Subtle melodic twists and turns lead to a feeling of a sweet disorientation, never being able to find your way back to the start. Fans of the recent highlight from Yodo take note, this almost unknown gem from Wasurerogusa is another strongly endorsed node on the ever-expanded web of the underground DIY scene in Japan.
