DJ Paradise (aka Caveman LSD, uon ++) gets off to a flyer under new label venture Experiences Ltd with previous West Mineral / bblisss contributor Ulla. Spread-out over eight cuts, Tumbling Towards A Wall induces the deepest state of hypnogogia thru gauzy ambient textures, cycling barely-there-rhythm and probing bass surges, yet executed with minimal fuss and a genuine understanding of mood, texture and space through-out. The heavily narcosized feel prevails with hazy pads quivering between knackered rhythms that unfurl from the speakers, to more elegant home-alone piano keys and smudged, unresolved loops that certainly share much in common with some of Huerco's finest hours. Despite carrying much of the genre's key components, It'd be lazy to just brand this one 'ambient' - more a square root of the intrictate rhythmic interplay / textural bliss found in the finest 00's glitch (Shuttle 358 / Somni451), the perfect contemporary classical reductionism encased with Susumu's Yokota's Sakura and hyper-modern DIY ethos of the torch carrying West Mineral crew.
