Lesser-mentioned minimal masterpiece from US composer Terry Riley. Originally composed to accompany Joel Santoni's film Les Yeux Fermes (1972), Riley presents two typically long-form pieces for organ and piano, starting with 'Journey From The Death Of A Friend' which overlaps brooding Eastern Raga scales and weaves a darker narrative to a foreboding end, whilst 'Happy Ending' takes a more redemptive approach with Riley's psychedelic organ motives gradually evolving into a lighter plain of piano and saxophone..
