Long-standing ANF customers may remember the great uncovering of Mixman deadstock (2018??). It was seemingly inconceivable that this vast archive of one of the greatest UK digi dub producers had been sat gathering dust.The Early Dub tapes gathers recordings from ’86-’90, with Mixman let loose to revamp and revitalise his trademark sounds.Tuff, tight production, laced with glassy electronic melodies, vaporised synthetic chords and trudging bass lines that could easily shake a few fillings loose when unleashed on a rig.Now finally back in print, it’s time once against to relish one of our own national treasures of sound system music.Essential.
