Wonderfully intimate home-recordings for piano, organ and electronics from self-taught Japanese musician and good friend of the shop Aki Tsuyuko.  Empty Talk was released back in 2016 in collaboration with Tokyo’s fiercely independent and influential record store / event space Enban - a strong DIY hub connected with the likes of Tenniscoats, Go Hirano, Takako Minekawa (and Aki of course) that still seems to lack attention outside of Japan, BUT was recently put into light by the excellent ‘Minna Miteru’ compilation of 2020.  Anyway, back to this one - each piece seems trapped in time with a strong sense of familiarity - like listening in on someone enjoying time spent with their instrument of choice.  Aki’s composition feels free-flowing, organic and blessed with the rare ability of slowing time down, completely comfortable and at ease following wherever the next note takes her.  Really special and an obvious recommendation for anyone who enjoyed ‘Natsu No Zenbu’ or into that holy Colette Roper piano LP, not to mention the beautiful hand-painted artwork from Ippei Matsui..
