Bizarre self-released 8” (?!) from eccentric 80’s Japanese minimal-synth group Tanoshii Ongaku (Fun Music) released via their own Kurichan Record imprint.  It’s a childish, perverse mix of eccentric high-pitched vocals, stripped-bare electro percussion and faux-naive melodies, but for all it’s endearing amateurism, the 11 tracks they manage to rattle off are stuffed with sophisticated synth programming and analogue instrumentation and a range of ideas.  Morio Agata, who let rip with that 1980 solo LP on Vanity, features on vocals and there’s a track on B2 (Speak Spell) that feels A LOT like Normal Brain’s ‘M-U-S-I-C’ that’s also on the holy Vanity label, but really the whole thing feels too silly and playful to be a part of that scene.  There’s no comparisons really, but it feels to me like a distant cousin of the 10” from Die Dominas… (OG 8” - NM/NM - with insert)
