First issued in 2004, W/ The Artists compiles the Burial Mix vocal cuts taken from BM-08 through to BM-13. Little remains to be said about what is inarguably one of the most most important and cited collections in all of electronic music - an influence which remains inescapably present to this day.
As always we find Mark n Moritz behind the desk, the humid caverns of their previous R&S work repurposed into a more spacious forward dub motion - built with such care and respect providing ample room for each collaborator to burst through the deep malaise of their techno informed dub rhythms.
Completely out of time and future-proofed, there’s almost nothing out there which carries a legacy of this calibre - the innovators of the sound and still never bettered despite the legions of disciples and countless attempts to replicate without so much as scratching the surface.
