Ultimate Swedish home-brewed bedroom DIY business - self-released / self-recorded / self-funded / self-assembled by Roos himself with his debut Klimax EP. Like all the best DIY material, the majority of this small-run, handmade outing was duly SKIPPED when predictably people failed to pick up on his genius in the early 80's. Shame on them, as Peter's roughshod, minimal new-wave sound is EXACTLY the sort of eccentric bedroom tackle you could only hope to land upon on a late night / early morning red-eyed discogs plunge. What Roos lacks in cohesion (when did that ever matter anyway?) he makes up in spirt, moving between crackling, attitude-laced post-punk spats, to more purple-hued, sweet n' singy pieces and even catchy casio keyboard ditties that'd be equally at home on an 80's gameshow. All anchored by cheap synths and stripped bare, drifting drum machines, the levels are wild, the musicianship is wayward yet its obvious that Roos doesn't give a fuck and he's making this album whether you like it or not, which is totally endearing and even brings a smile to my miserable mug (!!!). Isn't this what it's all about anyway! Very special record with complex hand-made 4piece sleeve (with insert!!) that'd get even Neil Buchanan in a fluster. Such a grower! (Vinyl & Sleeve NM with all the bits).
