Muscle-bound industrial cuts from controversial Yugoslavian (present day Slovenian) outfit Laibach with their '85 self-titled LP. This one lays out heavy, rugged rhythms with hard percussion and dark gothic undertones, recalling their fellow Ljubljana residents Borghesia and seminal EBM pioneers Front 242, also CHBB / DAF, 23 Skidoo etc. A little online dig for back-info on this lot is currently proving far too much to digest here for a Monday morning, but seems their use of totalitarian / nationalistic imagery saw them banned / heavily censored in their homeland, and allegedly they were the first western group to play in North Korea (?). Your choice if you want to dive deeper into this one. (Vinyl VG+, Sleeve VG ((slight ring-wear)), with Insert).
