Terre Thaemlitz (aka DJ Sprinkles) stalking the deepest of deep house chasms with Jeff Haines and Lester Fuero under the lesser spotted Chugga alias with 98' Comatonse classic 'Theme For The Buck Rogers Light Rope Dance'.  Terre's militant grip of her work surfacing on the internet (for free) has ensured this one has remained in somewhat obscurity bar the odd appearance on those Mule compilations; but its surely one of the finest outings in the faultless Comatonse catalogue.  Rolling afro-congas meets mystifying subsonic bass wight, cosmic synth shots and obnoxiously deep synthetic piano stabs in that inimitable Thaemlitz style.  It's the cult introspective deep-house hit that pretty much no one will play in the club - but they should!  Elsewhere there's alternate versions, featuring the pensive yet majestic piano piece on its own '500 Year Orbit Mix' and another that's (ever ever so slightly) more upbeat, bordering on disco.  Exuberant art direction throughout in that early Comatonse style (these are the only coloured vinyl releases I can stand).  Essential.   (Vinyl NM / Sleeve VG+++).
