Brilliant 4-track seven of gleefully damaged noisey indie-pop on Gothenberg’s Happiest Place label, who also put out the first Jjulius seven and the unstoppably great Amateur Hour LP. Friendly Boyfriend have embraced their ‘80s indie influences, taking fizzing guitars and melancholy-but-sugary-sweet vocals and swamping them in tons of Tascam sludge. The recording seems to wobble and slide out of tune, prompting a wave of nostalgia for something you were probably too young to have experienced first time round.
