Deep and drugged sun dances for the after-hours via enigmatic Austrian imprint Goldgelb.
Two heads connected to the label share the spoils on the split EP here. Akruul summons a trance-inducing groove on ‘Ritual Eins’ with shuffling percussion, sparse drum hits amidst the swirling ambience of the forest, whilst ‘WannWieWo’ journeys deeper into the interior with slowwww drum patterns, mooching bass and a dense, ominous atmosphere drawing parallels with CS + Kreme. Kobermann on the other side dredges up a slurry-like, snails-pace industrial groove on ‘Gorillazähe’, emerges out of burrow unwillingly before blossoming into brassier notes. Infamous salon legend Tolouse Low Trax tags in at the end laying his trademark sludgy, psychedelic touch to Gorillazähe to round of one of the strung out and overlooked ‘dance’ records we’ve heard in yonks..
